This Friday! It’s ON!

What’s on? Our first holiday bike party, that’s what! Get out those ugly sweaters & Santa hats and put on your gloves & coats, because on Friday, December 10th, our Holiday Party is going to rock and (most importantly) roll!

As always, we have a great route planned for your riding pleasure. We’ll be meeting at Downtown Berkeley BART at 7:30 pm and hitting the road at 8:00.

We’re particularly excited about our first stop at Actual Cafe, to help them celebrate their 1-year anniversary. Sal, our friend and the owner of this great community-building bike café, has promised coffee and a “make your own s’more station” for our Bike Partiers to keep them warm for the rest of the ride.

Our final destination for the night will be Linden St. Brewery, where, for the enjoyment of your taste buds and belly, there will be beer on tap and yummy local foods for you to nosh on (bring cash!). Food vendors we’ve confirmed include Traveling Takoyaki, the Boffo (Pizza) Cart, and Chef Feji.

There will also be a performance by the local and lovely Derailleurs, a photographer to document your ugly sweaters and your new friends, and a couple bikey vendors for you to do some christmas shopping. Oh, and of course, what would a bike party be without music? Rest assured, there will be PLENTY of music to sing and dance to.

And the cherry on top of it all? West Oakland BART is just around the corner if you’ll be BARTing home. We’re stoked. Are you stoked? This is going to be AWESOME. We can’t wait to see you all out there!

Hey there! The plan did change just a little bit. We will only be meeting at the Downtown Berkeley Bart, and will not be stopping at Frank Ogawa, but will instead be riding straight over to our final destination at Linden St. Brewery.

    We’ll post the route tomorrow!

  2. Two starts? says:

The last post about this week’s ride suggested two meetup points to start from, and a bunchup at frank Ogawa plaza, but this post only lists one, Berkeley Bart.

Did the plan change? (I guess I could Bart over or get myself together earlier to just ride over.)
