TOUR DE FRANCE/CITY OF LIGHTS RIDE

Want to break out the spandex? Go for it. Itching to load up the lumens or pack on the candlepower? Outfit your ride with all the lights you’ve got. And if you’re still looking for inspiration, think ‘bicycle race’ or just dig through your closet and be as colorful as the Tour’s peleton.

We’ll meet up at Pleasant Hill BART (on the Pittsburg line) at 7:30pm and roll out around 8pm. We’re currently building the ride route, so join us THIS FRIDAY NIGHT (June 29th) for the TEST RIDE – a fun social cruise where you get to give us important feedback, which helps shape the final route:

TEST RIDE: Friday, June 29th – Facebook Event Page

Last month’s ride was amazing! We had over 1,000 people on bikes! Thanks to everyone who came out. There were lots of great stories to come out of the ride, but there were also lots of beer cans left behind at party stops and some unsafe riding that left us fielding complaints. Now that Bike Party is so successful, it’s incredibly important to show people what we’re about (and encourage new riders to do the same). This is how we ride:

  • Stay Right
  • Stop At Lights
  • Ride Straight
  • Don’t Hate
  • Pack Your Trash
  • Don’t Get Smashed

Follow the rules and be a partygoer. Don’t be a party crasher.

It’s summer, we’ve got new territory to explore and Bike Party is getting people out on their bikes. This is what we’ve been waiting for, so let’s make July amazing. Say it loud…
