“Space. The final frontier. These are the voyages of the East Bay Bike Party. It’s second-Friday mission: to explore strange new roads, to see out new bikes and new danceable locations, to slowly go where no caravan has gone before.”
Grab your Dippin’ Dots and Tang and gear up for an out-of-this-world Bike Party! The theme: SPACE PARTY! Put whatever (planetary) spin on it you want. Come as an alien or an astronaut, sci fi character or planetary body, constellation or Tribble infestation… it’s all up to you.
As you’ve guessed by now, Bike Party has moved to a new night, the month’s second Friday. And the meeting time this Friday is 7:30pm – we’ll be gathering at the Downtown Berkeley BART Station on Shattuck. The route we’ve mapped out is stellar: we’ll be heading north this time (all the way to El Cerrito), riding through some beautiful neighborhoods in Berkeley, roaring down College Ave and ending in Mosswood park. (I know Hayward/San Leandro, you want us to come ride there. I promise it’s in the works.)

Just a reminder of the rules that keep it fun and make it a Bike Party ride:
- STAY IN THE RIGHT LANE!!!
- Leave nothing and no one behind
- Stop at Red Lights
- Ride Straight, Ride Predictably
- Roll Past Conflict
- Ride Sober!
- Make some NOISE!!!!
Can’t wait to see you guys! This ride is going to blow your minds!
(NOTE: We strongly recommend you wear a helmet, and bring blinkies and locks. The pack does get spread out and it’s good if everyone has lights so cars can see us.)
